Role Overview
We are seeking a committed Physiotherapist to join the supportive therapy team at Alderney Hospital. This role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy focused on a caseload primarily comprising frail and older patients within the Jersey & Guernsey Ward as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Working Hours and Terms
This is a part-time position requiring 25 hours per week. Flexibility may be necessary to accommodate service demands. The role is fixed-term and, for candidates already employed within the NHS, can only be undertaken on a secondment basis after obtaining appropriate release permissions. Applicants requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship are not eligible.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and devise physiotherapy treatment plans tailored to patients with complex physical needs in a community hospital setting, emphasizing discharge planning.
- Deliver person-centred care prioritizing patient safety, privacy, and dignity.
- Provide specialist physiotherapy interventions and manage an active caseload within the multi-disciplinary team context.
- Offer expert advice regarding patient management and care to colleagues and other professionals.
- Develop and oversee specialist care programmes delegated to other professionals, ensuring proper execution.
- Plan, implement, and assess health improvement initiatives across various settings.
