Job Role and Responsibilities
- Travel between multiple patient homes each day to provide home visits.
- Assist with meal preparation and mealtime support for patients.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as required.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance patient well-being.
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene, including showering and bathing.
- Support patients in basic daily living activities to promote independence.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Demonstrated compassion and good listening ability.
- A passion for positively impacting community members’ lives.
- Willingness and ability to visit patients within a designated geographical area.
- Flexibility to work every alternate weekend.
- Experience with seniors or children considered a valuable asset.
- Successful clearance or compliance with Criminal Background checks upon hiring.
- Previous experience with personal hygiene care is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and vehicle access.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wages ranging from $22.59 to $25.38, reflecting individual qualifications and experience.
- Full-time employees in the Grey Bruce area eligible for $1500 bonus paid in two installments (second after six months).
- Part-time employees in the Grey Bruce region eligible for $1000 bonus, also paid in two parts.
