Role overview
This is a varied, hands-on position for an experienced spare parts professional who is comfortable balancing customer service, inventory control, and warehouse activity. The role is based in Yatala, Queensland, and supports the Queensland spare parts function for a globally recognised heavy industrial equipment manufacturer.
You will act as the main point of contact for the local branch, handling parts enquiries, managing stock, and coordinating dispatch while building strong working relationships with customers. As the business grows, the scope of the role is expected to expand, giving you room to take on more responsibility and contribute to the ongoing success of the branch.
What you will do
- Handle spare parts enquiries by phone and email.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships, offering continued support.
- Prepare quotes and enter spare parts orders.
- Deal with customer questions and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Organise freight, deliveries, and return movements.
- Keep inventory records accurate and maintain effective stock control.
- Pick, pack, and send spare parts orders.
- Use a forklift to load and unload trucks.
- Receive inbound stock and store it appropriately.
- Keep the warehouse tidy, orderly, and safe.
- Deliver parts to customer sites when needed.
- Work with interstate service and operations teams.
- Assist with general branch administration and support tasks.
About the ideal candidate
You will suit this role if you have experience in spare parts, parts interpreting, inventory management, or warehouse operations, ideally within industrial equipment, heavy machinery, automotive, transport, mining, or manufacturing environments. You should be confident in customer-facing work, able to manage multiple priorities independently, and comfortable with practical warehouse and operational duties. Strong organisation, attention to detail, and a hands-on attitude are important.
Requirements and other details
- Current forklift licence is essential.
- Current driver’s licence is essential.
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system is highly regarded.
- Up to $95K plus superannuation is offered.
