Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Paralegal to join a thriving private equity firm. The ideal candidate will bring experience managing transaction processes and be adept at coordinating among legal teams and business units in a fast-paced, high-volume setting to ensure accuracy and timely completion of various tasks including transactions, entity formations, AML compliance, and account setups.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage investment documentation procedures across a spectrum of private equity deals such as primaries, secondaries, and co-investments.
- Prepare and coordinate transaction documents supporting private equity investments.
- Oversee the organization and closing protocol of transactions efficiently.
- Maintain and organize sets of transaction closing documents.
- Facilitate timely execution of required legal documents.
- Develop organizational structure charts as needed.
- Assist in compiling information and responding to AML inquiries from third parties including fund sponsors and banks.
- Prepare and assess formation documents and related paperwork for various funds.
- Perform general paralegal duties and ad hoc project work as assigned.
- Engage with clients and internal Neuberger teams to support legal and business functions.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a college degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of two years’ paralegal experience within a corporate legal environment.
- Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-moving work atmosphere.
- Exceptional organizational capability with acute attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Resourcefulness and adaptability to shifting demands.
- Effective communication skills, especially with senior management.
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently with minimal supervision.
Work Location and Conditions
This position is based in New York City with a hybrid work model requiring at least three days per week onsite.

Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range is $80,000 to $110,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. Compensation decisions consider education, certifications, market factors, and organizational needs. This role also qualifies for a discretionary bonus as part of the total compensation package which includes retirement benefits, paid time off, and insurance coverage.
