Painter/Polisher

Position Summary

The role involves applying various paints, stains, and finishing materials to interiors such as walls, ceilings, and furniture using tools like brushes, spray guns, or rollers. Preparation of surfaces includes applying primers or sealers. The job requires removing old finishes through methods such as stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or abrasive blasting. Protective coverings must be applied to surfaces during painting, with relevant signage posted to ensure safety. Responsible for cleaning and storing painting equipment properly and coordinating with vendors for paint, stain, or varnish color adjustments.

Work Environment and Safety

Candidates must follow all organizational safety and security protocols, promptly report hazards, malfunctions, or injuries, and participate in safety training. Professional appearance and maintaining confidentiality of company information are essential. The role demands physical activities such as reaching overhead and below knees, bending, twisting, stooping, ladder climbing, manipulating various sized objects, and lifting or carrying items up to 50 pounds. The ability to stand, sit, or walk for long durations is required. Team collaboration and excellent guest service with clear communication are integral parts of the position.

Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma preferred.
• Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
• No supervisory responsibilities or certifications required.
