Role overview
This role is responsible for steering fleet operations in Singapore and making sure day-to-day work runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with business goals. The position calls for a strong operator who can balance performance, resources, compliance, and team leadership in an asset-heavy environment.
What you will do
- Direct fleet activities on a daily basis and ensure operational targets and business objectives are consistently achieved.
- Monitor fleet availability, asset use, and the deployment of people and equipment so operational needs are fully covered.
- Create and roll out operating plans, policies, and procedures that improve fleet output, strengthen service quality, and support long-term expansion.
- Identify ways to work smarter by improving efficiency, reducing waste, building resilience, and lifting overall fleet performance.
- Handle workforce planning, budgeting, and the allocation of operational resources to drive productivity and effectiveness.
- Make sure all fleet work follows relevant laws, industry rules, company standards, and quality management requirements.
- Work closely with the QHSSE function to reinforce safe working habits, support safety programmes, and maintain compliance with safe work practices.
- Develop productive working relationships with internal teams, clients, regulators, service partners, and other external stakeholders to support operational excellence.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or another relevant discipline.
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in fleet operations, marine operations, transportation, logistics, or similar asset-intensive settings.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams across multiple functions or disciplines.
- Solid understanding of operational planning, resource management, and continuous improvement practices.
