Operations and Logistics Specialist

About the Role

SBR International is seeking an experienced Operations and Logistics Specialist to join their team based in Hamburg, Germany. The ideal candidate will proactively manage logistics and fulfillment activities, ensuring timely deliveries and streamlining operational processes. This role involves collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to coordinate both domestic and international shipments with accurate documentation and high customer satisfaction.

The position starts part-time with an option to transition into a full-time role as the company expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer orders from placement through to final delivery.
• Oversee and coordinate domestic and international shipping activities.
• Track delivery performance and resolve any shipment delays promptly.
• Prepare and verify shipping paperwork, including invoices and purchase orders.
• Work closely with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Follow up on pending orders and manage outstanding shipments efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and update ERP/CRM systems accordingly.
• Communicate order and delivery status updates to customers consistently.
• Collaborate effectively with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams.
• Prioritize urgent shipments and handle customer requests promptly.
• Identify areas to enhance logistics and fulfillment processes.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through dependable and efficient fulfillment operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience in logistics, operations, fulfillment, or a related field.
• Educational background in logistics, operations management, international trade, or similar disciplines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with effective time management skills.
• Ability to coordinate, plan, and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Customer-focused and results-oriented approach.
• Experience working with ERP and CRM software is preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; Proficiency in German is an asset.
• Current residence in Hamburg, Germany is required.
• Willingness to begin in a part-time capacity with prospects for full-time employment.
