We operate Village-style households, each accommodating about twelve residents, and our committed team provides superior, person-centred care focused on enhancing the lives of those we support.
We are currently inviting applications for a Night Care Assistant position at Belong Wigan. This role involves collaboration with fellow team members to ensure smooth household operations while maintaining exceptional care standards for residents, their families, visitors, and fellow staff.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit compassion, empathy, and a person-focused attitude in caring for elderly residents
- Demonstrate self-motivation, resilience, and strong organizational skills
- Adapt flexibly to resident and household needs while managing pressure effectively
- Provide personal care, assistance, companionship, and activity support to residents
- Remain attentive to residents' well-being and health
- Uphold residents' dignity and privacy at all times
- Work collaboratively with residents and families to customize care plans
- Assist during mealtimes and support safe movement of residents
- Keep accurate and detailed records for each resident
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Commitment to maintaining high care standards while promoting dignity and respect
- Prior experience in elderly care environments
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Dependability, flexibility, and capability to handle pressure in a dynamic setting
- Minimum NVQ level 2 in health & social care or Care Certificate completion
- Passion for delivering outstanding night-time care
Compensation and Working Hours
This part-time role requires 19.5 hours weekly with shifts from 10 PM to 8 AM. The hourly pay rate is £13.45.
