Role Summary

This full-time, on-site News Anchor position is based in Ahmedabad. The selected candidate will deliver live and pre-recorded news updates, present segments, and handle interviews in a confident, impartial, and easy-to-understand manner. The role also includes preparing for broadcasts, studying scripts carefully, staying informed on current affairs, and reacting calmly and accurately to breaking news.

Key Duties

The anchor will work closely with reporters, producers, and the editorial team to shape news coverage and support story development. Participation in pre-production discussions, maintaining journalistic standards, and representing the channel professionally both on camera and off camera are important parts of the job.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have strong abilities in reporting and news writing, along with confidence in broadcasting and presenting. A solid understanding of broadcast journalism and ethical reporting is important. The role requires clear speaking, good diction, strong on-screen presence, and the ability to manage time well in a deadline-driven newsroom. Team collaboration is also essential.

Preferred Background

A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a similar field is preferred. Experience in television or digital news anchoring/reporting will be an added advantage. Comfort with relevant regional languages and English, plus basic familiarity with digital and social media tools, is beneficial.
