Role Overview
As an NDE Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and validating procedures, selecting appropriate non-destructive examination (NDE) techniques, and interpreting results based on industry standards and specifications. This role demands close attention to detail and thorough understanding of codes and technical requirements to ensure quality and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, validate, and approve NDE procedures.
- Authorize testing techniques consistent with codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Select suitable NDE methods and procedures for different scenarios.
- Analyze and interpret results in alignment with accepted standards.
- Develop evaluation criteria and provide assistance when no predefined acceptance standards exist.
- Assess and procure appropriate NDE equipment tailored to organizational and client needs.
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Certified Level III qualification in ASNT, PCN, or equivalent recognized certification for LPI, MPI, and UT.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in NDE.
- Solid understanding of relevant products, technical standards, and codes associated with NDE.
- Proficient in operating various NDE machinery and familiar with different NDE methods.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills for problem resolution.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP systems.
