This opportunity is offered through a partner company seeking a MIG Claims Advisor located in Canada. The position is fully remote and involves assisting individuals with accident benefits claims, requiring professionalism and empathy. The role focuses on examining, assessing, and finalizing Minor Injury Guideline (MIG) claims while adhering to insurance regulations and service standards. You will collaborate within a customer-oriented environment managing claims from start to finish, balancing precision and timeliness while ensuring excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of MIG accident benefit claims to confirm coverage eligibility and determine rightful claim results.
• Analyze medical rehabilitation, disability, and related accident benefit claims based on insurance laws and internal policies.
• Coordinate with claimants, legal counsel, healthcare providers, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth and prompt claim resolution.
• Keep well-organized digital claim files updated and documented throughout the claim process.
• Respond swiftly to correspondence and inquiries, meeting regulatory deadlines and maintaining service standards.
• Identify and resolve issues by reviewing documentation and making claim decisions that comply with policy and legislation.
• Support departmental goals by contributing to process enhancements and undertaking additional tasks as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Post-secondary education or an equivalent mix of education and pertinent experience.
• One to two years experience in insurance claims adjusting or related roles.
• Preferred experience handling accident benefits claims.
• Experience in medical or legal fields is a plus.
• Preferred enrollment or completion of the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
• Strong understanding of claims investigation, documentation, and evaluation procedures.
• Excellent communication abilities both written and verbal, with a customer-first mindset.
• Strong skills in organization, analysis, and problem-solving.
• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage varied priorities efficiently.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively in a remote team setting.
