About the Role
The business is hiring a Medical Writer because of recent new business wins. The role is available in London, Manchester, or fully remote within the UK. You will work under senior scientific leads and contribute across three separate workstreams, creating medical affairs and publication materials.
What You Will Do
- Develop content for medical affairs and publication projects across multiple workstreams.
- Produce clear, accurate, and client-ready materials with limited need for internal correction or support.
- Ensure scientific accuracy, editorial consistency, grammar, proofreading quality, and polished layout.
- Adapt writing for different medical audiences and project requirements.
- Align all deliverables with the client’s strategic marketing objectives while maintaining strong scientific credibility.
- Work closely with clients to support both medical and strategic project needs.
Experience and Skills
- Background in life sciences at an academic level.
- Previous experience as a medical writer within a medical communications agency.
- Interest in, or prior exposure to, the rare disease therapy area.
- Ability to create high-standard scientific content with minimal review.
- Strong editorial judgement and quality control skills.
- Confidence in writing for a range of medical audiences.
- Client-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
