Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team full-time on-site in Kolkata. This role involves oversight of design, engineering, and execution activities related to projects encompassing steam boilers, heat exchangers, pollution control devices, and conveying machinery. Key duties include technical specification review, engineering drawing preparation and verification, coordination among design and production departments, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance benchmarks.

The position requires project planning, scheduling, tracking progress, reporting, and close engagement with vendors, clients, and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. The engineer will also contribute to installation, commissioning, and onsite troubleshooting at customer locations as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Between 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with boiler erection and commissioning processes.
• Knowledge of power plant equipment and execution in field sites.
• Strong communication capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Solid understanding of thermal systems, pressure vessels, and industrial mechanical equipment.
• Competency in Project Engineering and Management, covering all stages from planning through project delivery.
• Proficiency in CAD for mechanical drawing development, review, and optimization.
• Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems relevant to industrial and utility applications.
• Ability to interpret engineering standards and enforce safety and quality norms.
• Effective documentation and teamwork skills within an industrial onsite milieu.

Additional Information
