Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

The Mechanical Engineer will be an integral part of the Mechanical Engineering division, handling projects related to the Gypsum and Insulation business both within India and internationally. This role demands mobility to diverse project sites according to organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop foundational concepts, layouts, and detailed engineering blueprints for mechanical equipment and systems.
• Create precise 3D models utilizing Autodesk Inventor and generate manufacturing drawings and plant layouts via Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Ensure designs align with relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and internal guidelines.
• Collaborate with process engineers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth integration of mechanical components.
• Lead mechanical aspects of capital projects encompassing process design, equipment selection, procurement assistance, as well as installation and commissioning phases.
• Prepare feasibility analyses, technical specifications, and budgetary forecasts for project proposals.
• Develop and supervise project timelines, ensuring milestones are achieved promptly.
• Oversee contractor teams during equipment installation and commissioning stages, ensuring compliance with safety and project requirements.
• Conduct on-site inspections, troubleshoot technical challenges, and uphold quality standards throughout project delivery.
• Maintain full documentation across projects including design data, installation paperwork, and commissioning records to comply with audits and regulatory norms.
• Investigate equipment or process malfunctions through root cause analysis and implement corrective measures.
• Identify and execute mechanical improvements to elevate plant performance and reliability.
• Design and deliver training sessions for site teams and contractors fostering continuous technical learning.
• Promote an environment encouraging knowledge transfer and professional growth within the team.
