Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and diligent Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Design Team, focusing on various projects throughout Ireland's Water Treatment sector. This role offers the chance to enhance your technical expertise and contribute significantly to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Senior Design Engineer to manage end-to-end design projects supported by the broader Design team.
• Engage with clients throughout all project phases, from initial concept and feasibility studies to detailed design, implementation, and final delivery.
• Uphold high work standards, ensuring adherence to all relevant specifications and engineering protocols.
• Serve as a technical liaison addressing any issues arising during project execution.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Design Leads, and Sub Consultants at each project stage.
• Perform thorough design calculations and select appropriate equipment.
• Collaborate with an experienced drawing team in creating P&IDs and detailed design drawings.
• Advise on equipment selection and assist procurement processes.
• Manage project documentation in line with the Project Quality Plan and project-specific requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of Level 7, 8, or 9 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in Water, Pumping/Piping, Fluid Handling systems, or Oil/Gas industries is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently manage design coordination.
