As a Meat Cutter, you'll be a key part of what makes us unique, expertly preparing meats and helping maintain the standards that set us apart.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently offer friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic customer service reflective of Farm Boy's standards.
• Assist and engage with customers, providing product information and suggestions at the meat counter.
• Expertly cut, trim, and prepare a range of meats for display and sale, ensuring that products meet high visual and quality standards.
• Manage product rotation, packaging, stocking, and displays to uphold freshness and merchandising excellence.
• Keep work and storage areas tidy and in compliance with cleanliness standards, which includes sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Follow all company procedures, especially those related to health and safety, food safety, HACCP guidelines, and proper use of equipment.
• Support, train, and mentor team members enrolled in the Meat Cutter development program.
• Complete opening and closing tasks, and assist colleagues with operational functions such as inventory and ordering supplies.
• Handle additional operational duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for providing top-quality customer service.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position, or a suitable blend of education and hands-on experience.
• Ability to take initiative, maintain high quality and cleanliness standards independently, and work effectively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in both written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment—with frequent standing, heavy lifting, repetitive tasks, cold environments, and use of safety gear.
• Adaptability to work fluctuating schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• English fluency; knowledge of French is considered beneficial.
