About the Role
AVI Foodsystems is hiring a dependable and approachable Market Merchandiser to work full time in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The shift for this position runs from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Since 1960, AVI Foodsystems has grown into a highly regarded food service provider known for delivering quality service, fresh ingredients, and strong value.
Responsibilities
- Accept deliveries of products such as soft drinks, baked goods, snacks, and specialty food items at customer sites.
- Restock vending machines to appropriate inventory levels with items including beverages, pastries, and packaged foods.
- Arrange merchandise on shelves, racks, vending equipment, or coolers.
- Make sure all refrigerated food items are kept at safe temperatures.
- Manage product ordering and keep inventory under control.
- Remove stale or unsold merchandise from machines.
- Collect cash and coins from vending equipment.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Carry out regular upkeep and sanitation of vending machines.
- Keep vending areas tidy and well maintained.
Requirements
- A personable, outgoing approach with the ability to help promote products.
- Comfort working on your own as well as collaborating with others.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Clear communication skills for speaking with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to perform basic calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment drug testing.
