Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Director, this role leads a team of operational specialists who provide essential daily support to manufacturing activities. Responsibilities include managing deviations, CAPAs, change controls, document revisions, quality risk management, and driving cross-functional projects. The manager ensures that all processes comply with cGMP, regulatory standards, safety protocols, and internal quality systems, while spearheading resource coordination, strategic planning, and performance oversight to achieve timely completion of operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Operational Specialists; manage resource allocation, enforce training adherence, and promote high team performance.
  • Oversee quality systems tasks such as handling deviations, CAPA implementation, change control procedures, risk assessments, document upkeep, investigations, and preparing for audits.
  • Support manufacturing workflows by ensuring regulatory compliance, reviewing operational records, managing comprehensive training programs, facilitating technology transfers, start-ups, and commercial-scale production.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects, optimize processes, continually monitor KPIs, and apply analytic problem-solving methods.
  • Collaborate with various departments including Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain as well as contractors and vendors to uphold compliance and achieve operational goals.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree holder in Science, Engineering, or related field; higher academic qualifications are an advantage.
  • Possess 5 to 8 years' experience in GMP manufacturing, quality assurance, operational support, or likewise regulated settings.
  • Experienced in leadership roles with a strong aptitude for coaching, motivation, and team development.
  • Deep understanding of cGMP principles and quality systems encompassing deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and risk management practices.

  • Strong communicator with excellent skills in problem resolution, stakeholder engagement, and decisiveness.
  • Proactive and collaborative, capable of working effectively across various functional teams.
