Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic company located in County Clare. This role is critical for enhancing material and production efficiencies while reducing costs and lead times across various value streams catering to a global customer base.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify and execute process enhancements aimed at boosting productivity, ensuring quality, and lowering expenses.
- Collaborate closely with operational teams to meet business objectives and back strategic initiatives related to assigned value streams.
- Focus on improving material yields and minimizing scrap within assigned production streams.
- Research and introduce new processes; offer technical assistance in developing process documentation and troubleshooting equipment.
- Gather and convey vital process metrics that support operational stability and highlight areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise by applying Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies to develop and establish robust processes.
- Lead and manage capital projects focused on enhancing business processes.
- Facilitate successful introduction of new products within high-mix, low-volume production lines, ensuring costs and lead times meet or beat targets.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering roles.
- Familiarity with change management, lean daily management, and operating in high mix/low volume production settings preferred.
- Experience with machining technologies such as Wire EDM (WEDM) or laser processing is advantageous.
