Role overview
This position is centered on providing technical guidance for both production support and new development work, with the goal of consistently achieving zero-defect output. The selected professional will be responsible for creating and rolling out dependable machining processes for detailed aerospace parts, applying solid engineering judgement and structured problem-solving.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a strong safety-led approach and comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Review technical inputs, identify risks, and develop practical solutions that support high-quality, defect-free delivery.
- Carry out Industrial Engineering tasks such as planning, scheduling, time studies, and process enhancement for complex aerostructure parts.
- Explain detailed technical concepts in a clear way to different stakeholders and keep everyone aligned.
- Spot possible technical issues early and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Handle APQP work including gathering product and process requirements and preparing PFD and PFMEA documents.
Technical background required
The role calls for strong hands-on exposure to the assembly of complex aero-structure components, with at least 4 to 5 years of NPI experience handling medium and large assemblies. Experience with Airbus and/or Boeing parts will be considered a plus. The candidate should be comfortable using Industrial Engineering methods such as time study, VA and NVA analysis, and continuous process improvement. Knowledge of should-costing will be an added benefit.
A solid understanding of AS9145 APQP or similar advanced product quality planning systems is expected. The job also requires good analytical ability to study data and events and convert them into improvements. A degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace, with a strong foundation in Manufacturing Engineering is needed. Familiarity with tools such as CATIA V5, Siemens NX, MS Office, MS Project, ERP, PDLM, CAD, and Minitab is important. Strong written and spoken English is required.
