What this role involves
As a Manager in the Management Consulting team, you will take the lead on client assignments that improve strategy, operations, and organisation design. You will work with senior decision-makers to address complex problems, shape future operating models, and drive change that produces measurable outcomes. The position combines client delivery leadership, stakeholder engagement, and development of team members in a fast-paced consulting setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and complete consulting engagements that deliver strong outcomes for mid-market clients across multiple sectors.
- Create and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, while spotting additional ways to add value to clients.
- Use structured analysis and evidence-based thinking to turn complex issues into practical recommendations.
- Guide and support junior colleagues, encouraging teamwork, learning, and collaboration.
- Partner with senior leaders across the firm to assist with business development efforts.
- Support pursuit work by identifying opportunities, assessing fit, and helping with planning.
- Use AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve client results, efficiency, and innovation.
What makes you a strong fit
- You look for opportunities to grow, are willing to challenge established ways of working, and are comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone.
- You work well in diverse, cross-functional teams and enjoy sharing ideas and learning from others.
- You can understand, simplify, and clearly explain complex ideas in both spoken and written communication.
Experience and requirements
- Experience in management consulting or advisory work is strongly preferred, especially where you have led projects.
- You should be able to apply structured reasoning and analytical methods to problems that are not clearly defined.
- Strong analytical ability, clear communication, and the capacity to juggle several priorities are important.
- Knowledge of operating model design, organisational change, transformation delivery, business process improvement, business case preparation, operational improvement, and cost optimisation is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are required.
- You must have current Australian work rights.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, economics, or a related discipline is required. Postgraduate study is considered an advantage.
