Manager – Field Services

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Manager for Field Services to join our Engineering Department. This position involves overseeing all aspects of design, tooling and equipment, and repair engineering processes. Additionally, the role supports enhancing and maintaining Design Organization Approval (DOA) capabilities within the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering efforts across design, tooling, equipment, and repair engineering.
• Ensure strict adherence to airworthiness regulations such as EASA/FAA Part 21 or equivalent standards.
• Manage execution of design tasks, preparation of technical documentation, and conduct testing, verification, validation, and certification of engineering outputs.
• Oversee repair engineering to guarantee that repair methods meet design, safety, and certification criteria.
• Drive research and development projects, reverse engineering, and address obsolescence challenges.
• Support building and advancing the company’s internal DOA, Part 21, PMA, or equivalent certification processes.
• Supervise the design, development, testing, and certification of tools, equipment, special processes, and engineering methodologies.
• Act as the primary technical liaison with original equipment manufacturers, suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
• Maintain compliance with aviation standards for materials, processes, specifications, and deliverables.
• Develop strategic departmental plans including budgets, KPIs, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture the engineering team, promoting UAE National talent growth and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure observance of safety, quality, audit, risk management, and environmental regulations.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics Engineering, or closely related fields.
• Additional qualifications such as military or aviation school, Master’s degree, or MBA are advantageous.
• At least 10 years of relevant aviation engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on military aviation services, MRO, aircraft maintenance and repair, overhaul, engineering modifications, design, testing, or certification.
• Extensive experience working within a Design Organization Approval environment and familiarity with Part 21, PMA, or equivalent regulatory approvals.
• Deep understanding of military aviation operations, aircraft systems, engineering support, airworthiness standards, certification, and quality management.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS), AS9110 standards, and Integrated Product Teams (IPT) setting is beneficial.
• Strong leadership capabilities, analytical thinking, communication skills, and stakeholder management.
