Role overview

We are seeking a strategic leader to guide organisation-wide culture, capability, and inclusion work that strengthens performance and supports delivery of key priorities. This position offers flexible working, five weeks of leave, and a range of wellbeing-focused benefits.

In this role, you will lead a compact, high-performing team focused on delivering meaningful outcomes across culture and capability.

What you will lead

You will be accountable for the organisation’s people-and-culture priorities across organisational development, learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and Te Ao Māori. This includes culture, engagement, wellbeing behaviour, values, and competencies.

You will also drive the design and rollout of learning, culture, and organisational development initiatives and projects that align with organisational strategy.

What you bring

To be effective in this role, you should have strong experience leading teams within people and culture functions, together with a solid history of delivering both strategic and practical initiatives in learning and development and organisational development.

You will need the ability to build credibility quickly, influence stakeholders effectively, and demonstrate thoughtful leadership grounded in critical and creative thinking. A calm, approachable, inclusive, and self-aware leadership style is essential, along with good judgement and the ability to think at a broad strategic level.

Knowledge of and practical application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is also required.
