Role Overview

This opportunity is within Johnson & Johnson's Global Services hub in Bangalore, India, a modern facility featuring advanced technology and infrastructure. The Account to Report (A2R) team at the hub focuses on compliant, efficient execution of financial processes globally through standardization and automation, closely collaborating with corporate and business finance partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company Credo principles in all activities.
  • Lead the accounting and daily operational tasks for A2R teams, including closing financials within designated timelines and SLA requirements aligned with Compliance, Internal Audit, and SOX standards.
  • Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and validity of financial actuals within the process scope.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise in Worldwide Procedures and compliance, ensuring team proficiency.
  • Manage a large accounting team across multiple Global Services hubs.
  • Support auditors and legal entities as required during audits and investigations.
  • Monitor, enforce, and elevate compliance and risk mitigation practices continuously.
  • Maintain strict internal controls to achieve satisfactory internal and external audit ratings.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing team following Credo values.
  • Plan and execute team succession and foster career growth.
  • Oversee robust performance management systems within the team.
  • Act as a trusted business partner by driving strategic financial solutions with strong business acumen.
  • Mentor process SMEs to ensure global process consistency and proper documentation.
  • Fulfill the role of Operational Key Contact if assigned, liaising among regions, sectors, business units, and finance managers, managing process and operational issues.
  • Promote continuous improvement and embrace innovation to enhance efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Lead operational changes benefiting the global finance organization.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Financial certifications such as ACA, ICWA, CPA, CMA, MBA or similar are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional finance experience, including at least 4 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly to all stakeholders.
  • Willingness to embrace innovation, change, and new technologies.
  • Preferred experience includes roles within Shared Service Centres of multinational corporations and global Account to Report functions.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines pragmatically.
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and intelligent automation technologies.
  • English fluency is required; additional languages are advantageous.

Additional Information

  • Position may require shift work to coordinate with global teams in Americas, EMEA, and Asia.
  • Participation in regional, global, and cross-functional projects as assigned.
  • International travel up to 5% may be expected depending on business needs.
