About the Role
The Office for Women seeks a dynamic leader to join their team as a Manager focused on enhancing policy development and leading initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for Victorian women and girls. This is a contract position based in Melbourne requiring a proactive, resilient individual with strong leadership, policy, analysis, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, authoritative advice and briefing support to high-level stakeholders including the Minister for Women and Girls and senior departmental executives on gender equality and related policies.
- Lead comprehensive policy analysis to guide the development and execution of government projects and policies, ensuring alignment with whole-of-government strategies and future-oriented thinking on gender equality improvements.
- Manage and contribute to significant programs and initiatives, handling complex government systems to facilitate policy coordination and implementation.
- Lead a team delivering programs supporting Victoria's gender equality strategy, focusing on women's economic security, participation, and equity.
- Work collaboratively with leadership to plan strategically and manage the office's overall objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in gender equality and social policy development.
- Demonstrated history of managing teams effectively within fast-paced environments.
- Strong adaptability, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to foster a professional and supportive workplace culture.
