Role Overview
This contract opportunity is for an experienced management consultant to help shape and improve intelligent decision systems using real-world business problem solving. The work centers on applying high-end advisory methods to challenging scenarios so that automated reasoning can be tested against credible consulting-style cases.
The role is remote and pays $100 per hour, with an expected commitment of more than 10 hours each week.
What You Will Do
- Create and assess business scenarios involving market entry, competitive strategy, and operating model choices to benchmark automated reasoning performance.
- Prepare robust business cases, go-to-market plans, and opportunity analyses using established consulting practices.
- Turn complex, multi-source information into clear executive memos, presentations, and quantitative models.
- Develop and challenge scenario-based models, including strategic simulations and sensitivity testing, to expose edge cases for evaluation.
- Set meaningful KPIs and alignment frameworks that reflect real advisory work with multiple stakeholders.
- Support an ongoing research workflow by improving scenario quality based on feedback and updated evaluation standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience from a leading management consulting firm, such as MBB or a Big 4/5 practice, with work across strategy, operations, or corporate transformation.
- Strong capability to break down vague problems into practical frameworks with minimal guidance.
- Advanced skill in Excel modeling and PowerPoint creation at a client-ready level.
- Excellent business writing ability, with a talent for concise, insight-driven memos and board-level storytelling.
- Comfort working in a research-heavy setting where priorities and scope may change frequently.
Preferred Background
- Additional advisory experience in technology, SaaS, or platform-based businesses.
- Familiarity with building evaluation rubrics, decision trees, or other structured analytical tools.
