Role Overview
This remote contract role is focused on financial document analysis, structured data interpretation, and the creation of evaluation tasks for financial reasoning. The position involves assessing complex reports and datasets, then turning that information into clear, testable analytical work.
You will also help build benchmarking methods that measure accuracy, consistency, and reasoning quality in financial interpretation.
Compensation and Workload
The role pays $50 per hour and is expected to require about 15 to 20 hours each week. It is fully remote and based in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine financial materials such as performance reports, statements, dashboards, and structured datasets.
- Pull out meaningful insights from both numerical and narrative financial information and organize them clearly.
- Create analytical tasks with outputs that are specific, measurable, and easy to verify.
- Build objective scoring rubrics to judge the accuracy of financial reasoning and the quality of interpretation.
- Maintain high standards of clarity, consistency, and analytical rigor in task design.
- Improve frameworks used in large-scale systems for evaluating financial reasoning.
Core Requirements
- Solid knowledge of finance, including areas such as corporate finance, financial reporting, or financial analysis.
- Ability to read and make sense of structured financial data and layered performance metrics.
- Hands-on experience with financial models, dashboards, or reporting tools.
- Strong numerical precision, careful attention to detail, and consistent logical thinking.
- Capability to define clear and objective criteria for assessing analytical work.
- Strong written communication skills for creating structured financial documentation.
Additional Strengths
- Background in investment analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance is an advantage.
- Understanding of financial reporting standards and decision-making frameworks is helpful.
- Prior exposure to audit, consulting, or other structured evaluation settings is a plus.
