Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Machine Operator to work onsite at our Kajiado County facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machines in compliance with company standards and work instructions to ensure safe, effective, and uninterrupted operations.

Key Duties

• Loading raw materials into machinery and conducting preliminary equipment inspections.
• Performing routine adjustments and minor maintenance using hand tools.
• Monitoring machine performance to identify and report malfunctions and safety concerns promptly.
• Conducting visual inspections and basic measurements to confirm quality specifications are met.
• Accurately recording production data and collaborating with supervisors and team members to achieve output and quality goals.
• Adhering strictly to all health, safety, and environmental protocols.
• Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.
• Participating in initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Experience operating production and packaging machinery, particularly within FMCG or manufacturing sectors (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Vocational or technical training background in mechanical, electrical engineering, production technology, manufacturing, or closely related fields.
• Practical skills in machine operation, troubleshooting, and safety-compliant hand tool use.
• Knowledge of quality control methods including visual checks and basic measurement accuracy.
• Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), 5S methodologies, and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and maintenance staff.
• Capability to work on shifts in a fast-paced environment, stand for prolonged periods, manage repetitive tasks, and safely handle physical materials.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to following procedures as well as ongoing learning.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Technology, Manufacturing, or related discipline is preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or FMCG production.
• Proficiency in basic machine operation and problem-solving.
• Strong teamwork and communication competencies.
