Job overview
This role is responsible for leading retail secured sales at the Sonipat location in Haryana. The position involves planning local sales actions, managing branch-level operations, improving customer acquisition and retention, and coordinating with internal teams to strengthen performance, compliance, and portfolio quality.
Branch sales planning and management
- Partner with the Territory Head (Sales) to shape the location-level sales plan and team approach for target achievement, taking into account product conditions, market dynamics, competition, and local trends.
- Keep a regular watch on industry movement and market activity, including local competitors and their offerings.
- Take ownership of location-wide operations and performance across sourcing, governance, productivity, channel management, and related functions.
- Monitor and report sales performance and productivity metrics while helping build a strong performance-driven sales environment.
- Handle daily branch operations and administrative responsibilities.
- Prepare, compile, review, and share periodic MIS updates covering disbursements, profitability, NPAs, market expansion, and related indicators with the Territory Head and team members.
Customer acquisition and engagement
- Identify opportunities for local business expansion and support new customer acquisition efforts to build a book of the desired size.
- Work closely with team members and assist in managing critical or complex transactions to ensure positive closure and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate sales goals clearly and help the team understand business objectives, role expectations, product features, and key selling points.
- Track complaints and escalations, coordinating with the right stakeholders to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.
- Implement actions based on customer satisfaction surveys and NPS findings, in consultation with the Territory Head, to improve identified focus areas.
- Recommend and roll out approved solutions and schemes that support revenue growth, profitability, and cost efficiency.
- Act as an escalation point for customer grievances and resolve issues effectively, especially in important client relationships.
Operational effectiveness
- Promote efficient business processes across the full customer lifecycle, including sourcing, approval, servicing, and collections.
- Manage local distribution across channels and coordinate with senior or critical stakeholders to keep operations running smoothly.
- Improve turnaround times and operational efficiency by working with teams across Risk, Operations, and Sales Governance.
- Strengthen business performance by keeping the team focused on growth goals, customer engagement, and sales productivity, while providing support and direction where needed.
- Introduce improved processes and best practices to raise productivity, operational quality, and overall business impact.
Cross-selling across ABFSG products
- Execute team activities aligned to the cross-selling strategy set with the Territory Head.
- Help the team adopt the cross-selling plan through communication, training, and ongoing guidance.
Team and internal stakeholder management
- Coach and develop team members to improve acquisition and engagement outcomes and help them reach stronger performance levels.
- Nominate team members for technical and behavioral learning programs and contribute to personal development initiatives.
- Maintain proactive coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth cross-functional alignment and business execution.
Portfolio and risk management
- Collaborate with Risk, Operations, and Sales Governance teams to ensure compliance with risk controls and management practices.
- Support the credit approval workflow by reviewing sanctioning, disbursement, and documentation processes to maintain controlled operations.
- Analyze MIS and data analytics reports to assess financial risk at the city/location level.
- Ensure compliant sales operations and sound risk practices, including timely closure of pending documents and collection follow-ups.
- For institutional customer relationships, review account and business performance reports, work with Risk on delinquency situations, and guide the team accordingly.
- Train the team on early-alert actions designed to reduce NPA risk and losses.
- Maintain structured MIS on NPAs and credit trends and share inputs on risks that may affect portfolio quality.
