Job Overview
The Tower Hotel & Leisure Centre in Waterford is inviting applications for the role of Linen Porter within their Housekeeping Team. This role is based onsite at the 4-star hotel located in Waterford City.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will be confident and well-organized with a keen eye for detail. They should be motivated and possess strong social and communication skills. Flexibility regarding shift timings is essential as the position requires working on evenings, midweek days, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clean linen to accommodation storage areas and collect soiled linen from hallways.
- Evaluate the quality and accuracy of linen deliveries and ensure proper storage.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the hotel premises.
- Assist with bed stripping duties when necessary.
- Communicate maintenance requests effectively to the maintenance department.
- Handle guest requests professionally and promptly.
- Complete all assigned checklists thoroughly.
- Follow hotel procedures regarding acceptance, security, and return of lost guest property.
- Adhere strictly to key control and security policies.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong communication skills paired with attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a housekeeping porter in a hotel environment is advantageous.
- Willingness and flexibility to work midweek and weekend shifts.
- Reliability, honesty, flexibility, and a diligent work ethic.
