Role overview
This position is focused on supporting retail leasing operations by handling tenant inquiries, coordinating lease paperwork, and helping the team meet occupancy goals.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with prospective tenants to understand what they need for their lease.
- Show appropriate retail unit options to potential occupants.
- Discuss and finalize lease terms as well as commercial conditions.
- Draft MOUs and lease agreements.
- Coordinate internal approvals and track the documents through to signature.
- Follow up on client and treasury payments.
- Share regular updates and progress reports on leasing activity.
- Serve as the main contact for tenant-related questions.
- Work in line with company policies and operational procedures.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of leasing experience, ideally in retail or commercial leasing.
- Prior exposure to retail leasing work.
- Hands-on experience with Yardi is mandatory.
- Good understanding of lease agreements and memorandums of understanding.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Comfortable managing several tasks and deadlines at the same time.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred background
- Experience working in malls or other retail settings.
- Familiarity with real estate regulations.
