Lead Special Bids Analyst

Overview

This role is responsible for managing supplier relationships and supporting contract negotiations to enhance benefits such as timely deliveries and cost savings for STC. The position entails reviewing procurement processes and identifying improvements to current methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supplier negotiations concerning pricing of goods and services, utilizing standard contracts and adhering to organizational procurement and commercial policies.
• Participate in preparing bid packages for customer proposals.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts including software and hardware licenses, service agreements, statements of work, and contract amendments.
• Manage supplier evaluation, selection, purchase order issuance, invoice processing, and follow-ups to meet agreed service standards.
• Analyze technical inputs required for complex or specialized contracts.
• Collaborate internally with Finance and Legal departments to resolve commercial and contracting issues efficiently.
• Oversee daily team operations within assigned scope, ensuring process accuracy and effective resource utilization.
• Foster supplier relationships to secure benefits such as timely product/service delivery and cost reduction.
• Support the establishment of quality standards for goods and services provided by suppliers.
• Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and optimize resource use.
• Assist team members and address routine queries to maintain smooth workflow.
• Coordinate with other supervisors to build synergistic working relationships.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years' experience in procurement and supplier management, preferably within technology or telecommunications sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
• Master's degree in Business Administration or Engineering preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
