Role overview

The St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador site is hiring labourers to support operations on hydro-excavation and line-flushing vacuum trucks. This position comes with on-the-job training and involves hands-on field work tied to utility and cleanup services.

Key duties

• Operate equipment and support systems in line with company operating standards.
• Handle high-pressure water equipment as part of daily tasks.
• Carry out hydro-excavation to expose water and sewer lines for repair work.
• Flush sewer mains using high-pressure water.
• Clean catch basins.
• Help unload debris from truck debris tanks.
• Perform routine vehicle upkeep such as greasing and cleaning.
• Follow all relevant operating procedures and site instructions.
• Take part in a rotating on-call support schedule when needed.
• Support any other operational work assigned by the team.

Requirements

• Willingness and availability to work in a rotational on-call schedule.
• Ability to lift items and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working as part of a team and also independently.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
