Raemoir Manor Care Home is a newly constructed, purpose-built facility in Banchory set to open in Summer 2026. The home will provide residential, dementia, nursing, and respite care in a contemporary, thoughtfully designed setting. Joining at this early stage offers a unique chance to help shape the service and environment from the ground up.

Role Overview

This full-time contract Kitchen Porter position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute from the very start by helping create an efficient, clean, and welcoming kitchen. You will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals and maintaining a safe and orderly kitchen atmosphere. Your duties will include food preparation support, kitchen cleanliness maintenance, assistance with stock organization and deliveries, and working closely with the Chef and team to guarantee smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of food items as directed
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing stock
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operation

What We Are Looking For

• A positive, dependable attitude and reliability
• Good organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Effective communication abilities
• Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential

Additional Information and Benefits

• Hourly pay rate: 12.71
• Full-time contracted hours per week
• Paid Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership

• Annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks (pro-rated for full-time contract)
