Junior Product Designer

About the Role

Join Global as a Junior Product Designer to contribute to crafting straightforward and user-friendly experiences across our digital platforms. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and senior designers to transform ideas into well-structured user journeys, wireframes, and interface designs. This position is suited for early-career candidates with some practical design experience and a portfolio showcasing their work, who are eager to grow within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in product discovery and user research, assisting with usability testing and documenting findings that help define design challenges through storytelling, motivated by senior guidance.
• Create low-fidelity wireframes, draft simple user flows, and develop quality interface visuals aligned to established design frameworks. Iterate designs based on feedback and support graphic asset creation for app stores and marketing.
• Collaborate actively with Product and Engineering teams to refine user stories, understand Agile processes, and communicate progress to stakeholders. Build strong working relationships within the squad.

What Success Looks Like

• Participation in user research, usability testing, and feedback documentation during the initial months.
• Delivery of tangible design outputs such as wireframes, flows, or UI enhancements that integrate into live products.
• Acquired familiarity with design tools, systems, processes, and Agile team methods.
• Established effective communication and strong collaboration within the immediate team.

Candidate Profile

• Some practical experience in UX, UI, or digital product design from previous employment, internships, freelance or personal projects.
• A portfolio demonstrating problem-solving approaches, design process knowledge, and successful outcomes.
• A user-focused mindset with interest in research, usability, accessibility, and the application of these insights into designs.
• Good communication skills to articulate design decisions and receive constructive feedback.
• Organizational ability to prioritize workload and proactively seek guidance when necessary.
• Familiarity with design software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, plus whiteboarding tools (FigJam, Miro) and project management tools (Notion, Jira, Trello). Proficient with presentation tools like PowerPoint and Keynote, as well as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Basic understanding of web and app technologies; knowledge of coding and development processes is a plus but not mandatory.
