Junior Data Scientist

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a partner company of Haystack, looking for a Junior Data Scientist to analyze consumer behavior and purchasing patterns, identify customer segments, and deliver insights through statistical analysis and visualization techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze consumer data to identify key segments and present actionable insights using statistical methods and visual tools.
• Integrate data from multiple systems to assess operational efficiency and recommend process enhancements.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses to evaluate short-term strategic effectiveness, collaborating with multiple teams.
• Assist in building automated reporting systems for performance metrics across various venues.
• Contribute to developing scalable data pipelines utilizing Python, R, and SQL for efficient data access.
• Support the creation of AI-driven applications and workflows to automate tasks and generate recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or relevant discipline; equivalent practical experience considered.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in data science or analytical roles.
• Proficient with Python or R for data manipulation and transformation.
• Experience with SQL for querying and analyzing data.
• Understanding of data science workflows including cleaning, feature engineering, and predictive modeling.
• Strong grasp of statistical concepts, experimental design, and essential data science principles.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively share findings with diverse audiences.
