Role Overview
Become a member of the Logistics Expert Team to advance innovative projects. You'll develop and enhance the logistics data architecture to ensure that data is reliable, automated, and accessible throughout the entire process chain. Acting as a liaison between the business and IT departments, you'll transform complex requirements into scalable data solutions that deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data infrastructures and pipelines using Azure and Databricks, providing a dependable foundation for data-driven decisions by the Data Product Teams.
- Bridge the gap between logistics and IT by aligning business needs with technical solutions and actively shaping data structures.
- Analyze data flows to identify inefficiencies, process disruptions, and cost drivers, promoting targeted improvement initiatives.
- Implement automated routines and scalable data processes leveraging Azure Data Factory to optimize workflows.
- Create insightful dashboards to promote transparency in operational logistics and support effective KPI management.
- Serve as a connector translating business requirements into data-based solutions, making complex information accessible to diverse audiences.
- Produce ad hoc analyses and deep-dive reports providing the leadership team with reliable insights for operational and strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Academic background in economics, computer science, industrial engineering, natural sciences, or an equivalent professional qualification with relevant experience.
- Understanding of logistics processes to quickly grasp relationships and utilize data effectively for the business domain.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Qlik, SAP BO, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for structured data preparation and insight generation.
- Strong analytical skills with confident use of Excel and PowerPoint to clearly present complex issues tailored to the audience.
- Technical competencies including SQL and Python to analyze data efficiently and solve technical problems systematically.
- Initial experience in data engineering concepts like data pipelines, data modeling, and ideally with Databricks to facilitate integration into a modern data environment.
- Attributes like quick comprehension, analytical thinking, numerical affinity, robust problem-solving abilities, self-initiative, motivation, and teamwork orientation.
