Junior Cybersecurity Analyst

Overview

RedStream Technology is looking for a motivated and detail-focused Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to strengthen its Information Security team. This full-time position is based in Lewisville, TX, requiring hybrid work with three days onsite weekly.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and analyze alerts generated by SIEM, EDR/XDR, email, cloud security, and identity management systems.
• Execute triage, assessment, and escalation for security events.
• Contribute to incident response including containment, elimination, recovery, and thorough documentation.
• Support vulnerability assessments, track remediation efforts, and assist in risk reporting.
• Enhance existing security procedures and develop operational playbooks.
• Stay updated on new threats, attacker techniques, and indicators of compromise.
• Help manage and fine-tune security infrastructure such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and email security tools.
• Assist with security audits, compliance verifications, and gathering required evidence.
• Work jointly with cloud, infrastructure, and software teams to bolster security defenses.
• Participate in emergency incident responses and contribute to on-call rotations when necessary.

Requirements

• Between 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or security operations.
• Hands-on knowledge with security tools including SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and identity security platforms.
• Good grasp of network, endpoint, cloud security, and common cyber attack methods.
• Familiarity with cloud security for AWS, Azure, or SaaS environments.
• Experience with tools such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel and Defender, Tenable, Qualys, or comparable solutions.
