Role overview
This position sits within a project team focused on large-scale construction work, with responsibility for supporting and gradually taking ownership of cost planning, cost management, and cost control activities. The role is aimed at building strong construction cost management support for clients across the full lifecycle of a project.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the project team with cost planning, cost management, and cost control on major construction assignments.
- Take on increasing responsibility for sub-projects as the work progresses.
- Prepare and support cost estimates and cost plans.
- Contribute to cost control activities throughout all project stages.
- Review invoices and complete reporting tasks.
- Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact and advisor for client-side teams and planning partners.
- Help maintain effective, constructive cooperation with stakeholders across the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- A completed degree in a real-estate or engineering-related discipline, such as Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or an equivalent subject.
- Some prior practical exposure to project management or project controls in complex building construction projects, preferably with a strong interest in construction cost management.
- Confident use of MS Office and MS Project.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve complex problems in a structured and connected way.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Good German skills and fluent English skills, both at minimum C1 level.
- Willingness to work on site for at least 3 to 5 days per week.
