IT Security Analyst

Job Overview

This position is for an IT Security Analyst responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and related systems in accordance with operational guidelines and project requirements. The role involves installation and configuration of systems including GIS infrastructure and Asset Management applications. Regular system monitoring, backup administration, and security monitoring duties to identify potential security threats are essential functions of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Install new servers and rebuild existing ones, configuring all necessary hardware, software, directories, storage, and services following established standards.
• Deploy and configure specific systems like GIS infrastructure applications and Asset Management software.
• Develop and update installation and configuration protocols to reflect operational needs and technology changes.
• Contribute to and uphold system standards within the IT infrastructure.
• Conduct daily system checks to confirm the integrity and availability of server hardware, resources, systems, and critical processes.
• Review logs of systems and applications to verify the successful completion of jobs such as backups and detect abnormalities.
• Carry out regular security monitoring activities to promptly detect potential intrusions or threats.
• Manage routine backup procedures ensuring all necessary files and system data are securely backed up and media is properly handled including off-site storage.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent foreign education will be considered.
• A minimum of five years' experience maintaining ACE servers is required.
• Five years of experience managing authentication services for end users, including the use of Secure ID and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) management for clients.
• Must be available for essential travel to various client sites across the U.S. at short notice.
