Overview

The Investor Relations Associate plays a vital role in connecting Texas-based startup founders with angel and venture capital investors, facilitating significant venture capital funding opportunities. This role involves managing key Investor Relations programs such as Investor Office Hours, supporting startups in understanding fundraising options and resources, integrating new investors into the community, and launching fresh investor relations initiatives. Utilizing Capital Factory's extensive investor network and proprietary software, the associate curates meaningful connections between investors and founders, gaining accelerated experience in early-stage venture capital evaluations.

Responsibilities

Create impactful introductions between founders and investors when mutual interest aligns.
Serve as the main contact for investors, nurturing enduring relationships by sharing relevant startups, events, and opportunities while monitoring investor involvement.
Coordinate both virtual and in-person office hours to connect investors with portfolio startups.
Engage and build deal flow networks with venture capitalists and angel investors.
Participate in investor events to introduce new portfolio companies.
Conduct calls and meetings to understand investor criteria and align startups accordingly.
Make more than twelve curated investor-founder introductions daily.
Attend weekly Ventures Team Sync, Investor Relations Sync, and monthly First Look events.

Founders derive exceptional value from investor connections.
Investor Office Hours participation exceeds 90% utilization.
Investors provide positive feedback on the startups they engage with.
Strong relationships with key stakeholders result in regular new investor referrals.
Complete assigned duties promptly and accurately, earning team trust for independent execution.
Maintain productive cooperation with internal teams, especially Mentor, Venture Programs, and Operations.

Candidate Profile

Experienced within the startup and technology ecosystems.
Familiar with startup funding terminology and mechanisms.
Data-oriented approach to problem-solving and networking.
Highly organized, adaptable to last-minute changes with a calm demeanor.
Proven multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Reliable in delivering quality work under dynamic, deadline-driven conditions.
Capable of committing to at least 45 working hours weekly to meet demands.
Plans to remain in Texas and dedicate at least two years to this role.
