Role Overview
The Treasury team at Revolut plays a pivotal role in pioneering new business avenues and facilitating company growth through efficient financial risk and payment management. The Treasury Investment Manager will be responsible for managing liquidity and short-term investment portfolios, optimizing yields via instruments such as money market securities, foreign exchange swaps, and bonds, alongside handling related risk management functions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing investment strategies focused on liquidity management across fixed income securities, short-term interest rates, money markets, and foreign exchange instruments including derivatives.
- Designing analytical models and tools aimed at enhancing portfolio returns and strengthening risk management frameworks to facilitate data-driven portfolio optimization.
- Engaging with counterparties to negotiate and refine commercial terms.
- Monitoring treasury risks such as liquidity, interest rate, and foreign exchange risks, while overseeing front-office procedures.
- Leading initiatives to upgrade infrastructure that support liquidity profile optimization.
- Providing treasury-focused analytical insights to assist broader strategic decisions within the company.
- Delivering monthly reports and updates to the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) on all liquidity-related matters.
- Maintaining current expertise on market trends and regulatory standards pertinent to liquidity management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Prior front-office trading experience within a leading Australian financial institution.
- Demonstrated expertise managing portfolios in fixed income, foreign exchange, credit, or repo markets within treasury, market making, or portfolio management environments.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with proven success in leveraging analytical techniques to increase investment returns.
- Problem-solving mindset with proactive initiative.
- Exceptional communication abilities.
- Capable of deconstructing complex financial concepts for better understanding and decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.
