The role is centered on advisory work across origination, structuring, and execution of complex, event-driven, and multi-product financing solutions. The division covers M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, and Capital Advisory, and partners closely with relationship managers and product specialists to deliver strategic solutions for high-priority clients across Singapore, Southeast Asia, and Greater China.
This position is suited to someone who can contribute to transformational transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, major refinancing, balance sheet restructuring, takeover defense situations, pre-IPO and post-IPO financings, strategic capital investments, and other sector-driven opportunities. The work often involves fast-moving situations where judgment, responsiveness, and stakeholder awareness are essential.
Responsibilities
- Support the sourcing and execution of corporate finance assignments, including M&A, capital markets, and debt advisory work across leveraged, structured, private capital, and debt-related transactions.
- Carry out detailed financial analysis, valuation work, and modelling to assist transaction execution.
- Prepare client-facing materials and business development outputs such as pitch books and presentations.
- Coordinate project workstreams with internal teams and external counterparties to keep transactions moving smoothly.
- Assist with deal execution tasks, including due diligence, financial modelling, and transaction structuring.
- Contribute to daily project management and collaboration across functions.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or strategic advisory.
- Proven exposure to the SGX IPO submission process, with responsibility across the full deal lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research tools such as LSEG Workspace and Mergermarket.
- Ability to present data in a client-ready format with strong attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a demanding, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Excellent command of English, with strong preference for Mandarin fluency due to client interaction with Greater China.
- A university degree, preferably in banking and finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
- Transactional experience, a collaborative mindset, strong analytical capability, and a commitment to high-quality output.
Work environment
You will be part of the Singapore-based IBD team, which is closely integrated with the wider investment banking platform, including Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance. The platform is described as strong and offers room for continued growth and innovation. The team acts as a product-neutral coordinator on multi-product transactions, working in close partnership with relationship managers and product specialists.
