About the Role
A leading global asset management firm is looking to hire an Investment Analyst for its Private Credit division based in New York. This position provides a chance to work within a well-established platform managing substantial assets under management with a proven history in credit investments. The role entails engagement with a high volume of transactions and offers direct collaboration with senior investors, alongside a structured career development path.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess new lending opportunities and formulate investment theses
- Perform comprehensive due diligence focusing on business fundamentals and cash flow sustainability
- Develop and upkeep detailed financial models and conduct scenario analyses
- Design debt investment structures including terms, covenants, and capital frameworks
- Evaluate downside risk, leverage configurations, and recovery prospects
- Assist in ongoing portfolio surveillance and investment oversight
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Between 1 to 4 years of experience in Investment Banking, preferably in Leveraged Finance, Credit, or related specialties
- Experience from a top-tier investment bank is highly preferred but not mandatory
- Proven strong skills in financial modeling and quantitative analysis
- Keen interest in credit investment with an emphasis on risk assessment and underwriting
- Meticulous and systematic approach to due diligence
- Capability to excel in a fast-moving, collaborative team environment
- Must have legal work authorization without requiring sponsorship
