Project Description

The Expo 2030 Riyadh is an international platform planned to take place from October 2030 to March 2031, featuring participation from up to 197 countries and 29 international organizations. The 6 km² masterplan will support a large-scale infrastructure program including utilities, public streets, and parks, with a vision of sustainability and a legacy mixed-use development post-event. Bechtel is responsible for managing these infrastructure programs in collaboration with the Expo 2030 Riyadh Company.

Role Overview

The Interface Manager will oversee technical, systemic, operational, and delivery interfaces across multiple stakeholders including consultants, contractors, authorities, and operators. This role ensures coordinated integration throughout all project phases from design to construction, commissioning, and operational readiness, specifically focusing on mobility systems, transportation packages, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned interfaces across mobility systems, transportation components, infrastructures, operations, and construction activities, reporting directly to the Senior Interface Manager.
• Identify, record, and maintain interface requirements involving multiple disciplines and external parties.
• Facilitate coordination between design, construction, operational, and stakeholder teams to maintain interface control documentation.
• Track interface actions, dependencies, assumptions, constraints, unresolved issues, and lead resolution meetings.
• Support integration activities involving transport technologies, fleet management, depots, traffic systems, communications systems, and operational facilities.
• Review technical proposals and design submissions to ensure alignment with interface requirements.
• Assist in operational readiness by addressing operator needs during project development.
• Identify interface risks and contribute to mitigation strategy formulation.
• Prepare status reports and dashboards documenting interface progress and challenges.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover, and transition phases.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in project delivery, including at least 5 years in interface management, systems integration, engineering coordination, or infrastructure delivery roles.
• Proven experience in transportation, infrastructure, mobility, or large-scale program environments.
• Strong capabilities in managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder interfaces.
• In-depth understanding of systems integration, operational needs, engineering coordination, and project management processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
