About the Role
The Institutional Consulting Relationship Manager serves as a senior service professional within Morgan Stanley's Graystone Team, delivering exceptional service and support to Financial Advisors, Private Wealth Advisors, and their teams daily. This position entails leading the cultivation and ongoing management of institutional client relationships, managing operational processes, and ensuring seamless communication across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate client-facing processes including onboarding.
- Support Financial Advisors/Private Wealth Advisors in building and enhancing client relationships by providing superior client experiences.
- Oversee client communications strategies for the team.
- Assist with developing and monitoring client service models, including preparation and follow-up for regular meetings.
- Contribute to business plan development and execution in cooperation with business partners such as Practice Strategy Consultants, Business Development Managers, and Branch Management.
- Optimize business practice effectiveness alongside FA/PWA teams and other stakeholders.
- Serve as a conduit for business-related matters, ensuring correct routing, resolution tracking, and efficient handling.
- Coordinate annual Trustee Education processes under the direction of the FA/PWA team.
- Facilitate effective communication flow within the team.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years' relevant professional experience.
- Advanced degree, professional certification, or comparable industry experience required.
- Mandatory active Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, or alternatively Series 63 and Series 65 licenses.
- Additional product licenses may be necessary.
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated strong leadership abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of financial products such as equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, and managed accounts.
- Technical proficiency and prompt adaptability to new platforms.
- Exceptional organizational capability with meticulous attention to detail and prioritization skills.
- Expert use of personal computers, especially Microsoft Office suite with a focus on Excel, and internet applications.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and client service expertise.
- Strong time management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt and multitask in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Goal-oriented, self-driven, and results-focused mindset.

The role reports to a Market Business Service Officer and/or Business Service Officer.
