Information Technology Support Engineer

Job Overview

The IT Technical Support Engineer will manage, maintain, and repair the organization's IT infrastructure and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting faults, resolving network problems, and installing and configuring hardware and software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure user workstations, including software and peripheral devices.
• Ensure the integrity and security of IT systems company-wide.
• Test and assess hardware and software prior to purchase.
• Provide technical support to company employees.
• Monitor server performance and data link connectivity.
• Maintain records of computer equipment supplies.
• Support the administration and execution of data backup solutions.
• Oversee voice recording systems and retrieve calls as needed.
• Assist in managing ticker displays and data wall systems.
• Monitor Data Center equipment such as air conditioning, UPS, and safety systems.
• Oversee security camera systems.
• Support domain administration tasks.
• Collaborate closely with departmental personnel.
• Contribute to the creation and enforcement of IT policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company guidelines and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Intermediate understanding of TCP/IP networking and switching equipment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory management.
• Experienced in installing, managing, and troubleshooting Windows systems.
• Knowledgeable in CCTV systems.
• Experience liaising with vendors for IT procurement and services.
• Skilled in maintaining inventories, contracts, and related documentation.
• Experienced with network and system monitoring tools administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 Suite.
• Capable of managing IT assets effectively.
• Experience coordinating data center related activities.
• Understanding of access control systems.
• Preferred certifications include MCSE, CCNA, and MCSA.
