Role Overview
Ascend Project Management is partnering with a prominent life sciences organization to hire an Industrial Engineer for a 12-month contract located in South Dublin. The position requires onsite presence three days per week.
Key Duties
- Create, maintain, and enhance capacity planning models for labor and equipment to aid operational decision-making within manufacturing and supply chain sectors.
- Provide data-driven analysis identifying operational bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and underutilization.
- Support capacity planning across various time horizons through scenario modeling and comprehensive data evaluation.
- Communicate insights and model findings to stakeholders to facilitate informed operational and strategic decisions.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities by advancing model automation, data integrity, and process efficiencies.
Essential Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or a comparable field.
- Between three to five years of professional experience in industrial engineering, capacity planning, manufacturing, supply chain, or operations analytics.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities including complex formula creation, structured data modeling, and tool development; familiarity with Power Query is beneficial.
- Expertise in analyzing labor and equipment capacity, building scenario models, and converting operational data into actionable business insights.
- Strong analytical abilities combined with effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills; capable of independent work and managing multiple priorities within cross-functional teams.
