Job Overview
The Implementation Lead for the Digital Transformation Program will oversee several projects encompassing areas such as Microsoft collaboration tools, automation of business processes, enhancement of data and analytics protection, management of information, deployment of digital workplace technologies, improvements to compliance, and the strengthening of digital capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple digital transformation projects, ensuring they progress within agreed boundaries, timelines, and objectives.
- Provide strong governance support, including precise reporting, escalations, recommendations, and oversight for successful delivery.
- Translate project directions into actionable steps, defining schedule, sequence, ownership, and resources, resolving operational challenges and escalating critical strategic issues as appropriate.
- Create and maintain comprehensive implementation documentation such as plans, risk and issue registers, status updates, and governance materials to ensure transparency and control.
- Drive project momentum by actively managing tasks, following up on dependencies, removing blockers within authority, and escalating when necessary.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align implementation actions with business readiness and adoption requirements.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, communications, and change management to facilitate smooth uptake of digital initiatives.
- Contribute to the definition and validation of business, technical, and operational requirements to ensure clarity and alignment with program goals.
- Monitor vendor and internal delivery performance against commitments, identifying risks, and escalating concerns to ensure accountability.
- Prepare and manage governance documentation and reporting to inform decision-making and maintain project oversight.
- Exemplify organizational values by taking initiative, collaborating effectively, focusing on customer needs, and maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Support the cultural transformation agenda by promoting established core values such as teamwork, customer focus, responsibility, and initiative.
Candidate Profile
- Proven capability to independently manage complex implementation activities from start to finish within dynamic project environments.
- Strong skills in project management, including the creation and active use of plans, schedules, registers, and governance documentation to ensure accountability and progress tracking.
- Effective leadership and influence over internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to achieve success across concurrent workstreams.
- Excellent communication and relationship management abilities, including translating technical delivery details into accessible updates for governance forums.
- Commitment to customer-centric service delivery, continuous improvement, change management, and adherence to organizational safety and collaboration values.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in ICT, digital transformation, implementation, change management, or business improvement within complex organizations.
- Proficiency with project controls, reporting tools, dashboards, and collaboration platforms used to monitor and support delivery activities.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in project management, change management, agile methods, business analysis, or service management are highly valued.
Additional Information
This role is a temporary, full-time position until 27 August 2027, based mainly at Mount Gravatt with the possibility of work at other TAFE Queensland campuses. It reports to the Program Manager of the Digital Transformation Program.
