Job Overview and Responsibilities
This role involves comprehensive management of human resources functions to support organizational effectiveness at Heifer International in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Human Resources Operations & Compliance (35%)
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and separations.
- Implement HR policies, procedures, and practices uniformly across the organization.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files aligning with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of HR documentation such as contracts, employment letters, amendments, and communications.
- Monitor adherence to statutory obligations, conduct audits, and enforce internal controls.
- Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and service providers for HR-related support.
- Facilitate internal and external audits by providing precise HR documents and reports.
- Uphold confidentiality and security of employee data and HR records.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning (20%)
- Oversee recruitment processes end-to-end for designated roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to assess staffing requirements and assist in manpower planning.
- Manage sourcing candidates, screening, coordinating interviews, offer management, and onboarding procedures.
- Monitor recruitment metrics like time-to-fill, hiring expenses, candidate pipeline, and onboarding success.
- Develop and maintain talent pools to meet future organizational needs.
HR Systems, Payroll & Benefits Administration (15%)
- Act as central coordinator for HRIS data and employee records maintenance.
- Manage monthly payroll input and verify employee data for payroll processing accuracy.
- Administer employee benefits including insurance, wellness programs, leave management, and statutory benefits.
- Ensure current and accurate employee data within local and global HR systems.
- Produce HR dashboards and reports covering headcount, attrition, recruitment, leave usage, and workforce demographics.
Employee Relations & Engagement (15%)
- Serve as a reliable contact for employee queries related to policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
- Plan and implement employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and organizational events.
- Encourage and support a positive workplace culture aligned with company values.
Performance Management & Learning (10%)
- Assist in executing performance management activities including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Coordinate training, learning initiatives, and capacity-building programs.
- Monitor and maintain training participation records.
- Support succession planning and employee growth efforts.
Other Duties (5%)
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline; postgraduate or certification in HR Management preferred.
- 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in HR, focusing on operations, employee lifecycle, recruitment, compliance, and employee relations.
- Familiarity with the NGO sector and knowledge of institutional funders for international development is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with HRIS or payroll software is an added benefit.
- Solid grasp of local accounting principles and fiscal regulations.
- Experience working with accounting systems.
